Job Description:

The Head of Marketplace plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Uber Mobility. You’ll be the force behind a strong, balanced marketplace, one that fuels growth and elevates the experience for both riders and drivers. From uncovering insights to influencing product strategy to building scalable tools and processes, you’ll help create the conditions for a vibrant, efficient marketplace. As Director, you’ll lead the KPIs that define marketplace performance pricing, health, reliability, incentives, surge strategy, matching, and fares. The role demands technical chops, a builder’s mindset and an operator’s discipline.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience crafting strategy, building products, running operations in consulting, analytics, tech, or related field
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • Exhibits exceptional business judgment and critical thinking, using data to identify top priorities and shape strategic direction
  • Brings deep analytical strength, including quantitative analysis, modeling, experimentation, and insight generation
  • Thinks strategically with a clear grasp of the operating environment, anticipating challenges and maintaining a competitive edge
  • Solves complex problems by diving into data to understand rider and earner behavior and uncover what drives engagement
  • Operates with executional excellence, building effective roadmaps and delivering high-quality launches, fixes, and processes
