Job Description

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our People team are the architects of a great workplace where brilliant minds come together to do their best work. From discovering diverse talent and nurturing future leaders, to creating spaces that spark collaboration and crafting rewards that celebrate success - we're passionate about building a culture where everyone can thrive. We’re looking for a Director, Global People Services and Enablement to join our UK team. This is a hybrid role. In this role, you’ll lead the unification and transformation of People Services across the DoorDash brand ecosystem — building a single, AI-enabled global service platform that scales how the entire People organisation operates, and defining what employee-centred HR service delivery looks like across 30,000+ employees in 40+ countries.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the unification and transformation of People Services across the DoorDash brand ecosystem — building a single, AI-enabled global service platform that scales how the entire People organisation operates, and defining what employee-centred HR service delivery looks like across 30,000+ employees in 40+ countries.
  • Drive the multi-year transformation vision by establishing a unified operating model, service catalogue, and delivery framework across the DoorDash brand ecosystem to replace legacy approaches with one scalable platform.
  • Own the People Services technology roadmap and business requirements, partnering with Business Technology and Product teams to drive automation, service quality, and scale across internal and vendor solutions.
  • Lead the enablement function as the connective tissue between technology, COEs, and People Business Partners, ensuring process design, knowledge management, and change infrastructure scale ahead of the service desk.
  • Unify the global HR service platform into a single, intelligent front door for all people support, integrating tooling, SLAs, and AI-powered triaging into a consistent, employee-centred experience.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team spanning People Services and enablement across three brands, establishing shared execution standards and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Establish global process standards and governance, eliminating reliance on regional interpretation by building the documented infrastructure (SOPs) required for accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
  • Define and track operational metrics that showcase service quality, automation impact, and transformation progress, providing clear visibility to People leadership and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • Significant experience leading People Services or HR operations at a high-growth, global technology company, with a proven track record of managing large-scale HR service delivery transformations across multiple geographies or brands.
  • A technology-forward operator: you have owned or co-owned an HR technology roadmap, can translate business problems into product requirements, and have hands-on experience driving AI and automation into People Services workflows — with a clear point of view on how to use technology to scale a service function without scaling headcount proportionally.
  • Deep understanding of People Services enablement, specifically how process design, knowledge management, and change infrastructure connect a technology roadmap to frontline service delivery execution.
  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and transformation, with the strategic capability to consolidate differing operating models, tools, and team cultures while maintaining high service quality.
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder leadership, with a history of building effective partnerships and creating alignment across a complex, matrixed, multinational organisation.

What we offer

  • Competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package
  • Equity share awards
  • Free Deliveroo Plus: free delivery and access to special offers
  • Team lunches from the best local restaurants
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with length of time spent working at Deliveroo
  • One day of paid leave per year to volunteer with a registered charity
  • Funded single cover healthcare on our core plan, with the option to add family members at own cost
  • On-site gym (HQ), discounted external gym membership
  • Access to wellbeing apps such as LesMills+, Strava, Headspace, Yogaia via GymPass
  • Discounted dental insurance and a range of other flexible benefits, such as critical illness cover, partner life cover, travel insurance, health assessments
  • Life assurance
  • Maternity, paternity and maternity and shared parental leave, eligible from day one of employment
  • Excellent kit to enable working from home and a parent-friendly working culture
  • Access to free mortgage advice
  • Cycle to Work Scheme or Season Ticket Loans, depending how you wish to travel
  • Excellent learning and development opportunities and access to RooLearn, our learning platform, packed with high-quality training and content
  • Regular Employee Resource Group (ERG) led social events – examples include dinners, dance lessons and in-office yoga sessions
  • Summer and end-of-year parties
