The Director, Global Manufacturing Quality serves as a strategic leader responsible for shaping, executing, and continuously improving the global quality vision across Fortune Brands Innovations’ manufacturing and operations footprint. This role drives enterprise‑wide quality excellence, strengthens customer trust, and ensures that products, processes, and systems meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will partner closely with senior leaders across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to embed a culture of quality and operational rigor throughout the global organization.
Job Responsibility:
Enterprise Quality Leadership: Develop and execute the global quality strategy aligned with corporate objectives, business unit expectations, and customer experience goals
Quality Systems & Compliance: Oversee global quality systems, policies, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and internal requirements and adoption of best practices
Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and other structured improvement methodologies to reduce defects, enhance reliability, and optimize processes
Product Quality & Reliability: Lead cross‑functional initiatives to improve product performance, reduce warranty claims, and elevate customer satisfaction
Global Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high‑performing global quality team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
Data‑Driven Decision Making: Implement advanced analytics, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor quality performance and drive strategic insights
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the organization and product lifecycle
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate quality‑related risks across global operations and supply chains
Customer Advocacy: Serve as a voice of the customer, ensuring feedback is translated into actionable improvements and long‑term quality enhancements
Cost of Quality: Drive down overall cost of Quality across Business Units. Identify areas of opportunity and key problem areas for Quality Engineers and support work as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
advanced degree preferred
10+ years of progressive experience in Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and or Product Development Engineering in the durable home goods, consumer products, or related industries
5+ years of leadership experience required
Experience managing global teams across multiple regions strongly preferred
Demonstrated success leading global quality systems and driving enterprise‑level improvements and change
Exceptional leadership, communication, and change‑management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
Ability to coach and manage a team of high performing individuals
Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and commitment to world class operations, manufacturing, quality, and continuous improvement
Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards relevant to global manufacturing
Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with data analytics tools and quality management systems
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
