Your day at NTT DATA The Director, Global Business Services – Operations is a leadership role, responsible for overseeing and managing the efficient delivery of services within Global Business Services (GBS) function globally. This role involves providing leadership, driving process optimization, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services across various Regions, Functions and Divisions. This role leverages their significant experience, collaborates with cross functional teams, guide initiatives, and contributes to GBS success through streamlined GBS operations. Job Responsibility
Provides leadership and strategic direction to GBS teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within GBS operations
Implements best practices and optimizations
Oversees the delivery of GBS services, ensuring consistent service levels, compliance with standards, and alignment with business requirements
Leads efforts to adopt technology and implement process improvements, optimizing GBS operations and enhancing service delivery
Ensures GBS operations adhere to industry regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies
Implements risk mitigation strategies
Leads and motivates a team of GBS resources, providing mentorship, guidance, and opportunities for professional growth
Engages with senior leadership and business stakeholders to communicate operational insights, gather input, and drive improvement initiatives
Supports change initiatives related to process optimization, technology adoption, and operational enhancement
Guides teams through transitions with a focus on engagement

Requirements

Solid understanding of GBS operations, performance measurement, process optimisation, and technology adoption

Effective collaboration and influencing skills to work effectively with cross functional teams
Leadership qualities with the ability to guide teams through change and process optimisation initiatives
Change management expertise to support transformational initiatives and manage transitions
Proficiency in technology adoption, digital transformation, and process automation
History of achieving measurable improvements in operational efficiency and performance metrics
Commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement principles
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Management, or a related advantageous
Lean / Six sigma qualification or equivalent, CIPS accreditation preferred
Significant experience in similar roles gained within a global matrixed organisation, preferably within the IT services industry
Significant experience in leadership roles within a GBS or comparable environments
Significant proven track record of developing and executing operational strategies that drive excellence and business results
Significant history of achieving significant improvements in operational efficiency and performance metrics
Significant experience in finance and budget management
Significant experience in vendor/business stakeholder management at a senior leadership level - locally and globally
Significant experience of the BPO / services industry / BPO vendor market
Significant experience in leading transformation projects in the operations space
