Job Description

The Director of Fundraising and Development is responsible for growing revenue for Movember within the Australian market. This role plays a critical part in delivering Movember’s national growth ambitions, aligned to global strategy, to ensure sustainable and diversified income that supports long term impact. The role is accountable for leading, developing and scaling fundraising activity across Australia, managing an established team and building future capability to drive income across existing and emerging revenue streams. The Director will deliver against a significant revenue target while providing clear direction, setting strategy, and role modelling strong people leadership.

  • Developing a comprehensive year round Fundraising and Development strategy, including best practice approaches across a diverse mix of established and emerging revenue streams
  • Executing the year round strategy to acquire, retain and grow corporate partners, trusts and foundations, community fundraisers and other key supporters
  • Leading and growing a high value portfolio of relationships with corporate partners, brand partners, major donors and priority communities across Australia
  • Managing, coaching, developing and hiring members of the Fundraising and Development team

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in business development or fundraising roles
  • Strong networks and the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships
  • Successful, significant and relevant achievements at management level in a comparable national/international organization
  • Experience as a people manager with skill in leading and developing people
  • Proven ability to build and develop relationships with internal stakeholders and teams such as marketing to deliver a great experience for our partners
  • A proven track record of meeting challenging income targets
  • Convincing and persuasive written and oral communication skills with the ability to present and convey complex ideas and issues clearly and coherently to varied audiences
  • Experience of utilizing the strength of an organization brand for charity/business development
  • High self-motivation and ability to work autonomously, take initiative and make decisions
  • A passion and commitment to Movember’s mission, vision and strategy
  • The ability to use data to drive decisions and drive accountability on their team
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills
