Job Description:

The Director for Academic Resources & Outreach will oversee the Peer Mentoring initiative and lead outreach efforts for the Center for Undergraduate Education.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the Peer mentoring/support program, including goal setting, program evaluation, and the recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of the Peer Academic Success Mentors
  • Provide coordination for tutoring services, referrals, and training
  • Oversee Academic Affairs’ and Center for Undergraduate Education’s signature student-success programs/events
  • Provide coordination for and serve as a representative at large-scale university events
  • Serve as the CUE liaison to select campus partners

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in education, training, higher education administration, or related field
  • Considerable knowledge of college-level peer tutoring and mentoring, student development theories and practices, and program assessment and evaluation strategies
  • Working knowledge of information and communication technology systems used as tools to support advising, mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or other academic success services
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Effective written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate student employees
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a multi-task environment and exercise independent judgment
