Job Description

The position will report to the AVP Corporate Finance and will be a member of Amgen’s Global Finance Leadership Team. This role requires an experienced, energetic individual with a strong finance background. The successful candidate will have proven leadership and management capability.

Job Responsibility

  • Independently leading and managing a centralized local FP&A team that will be responsible for several key planning activities within the forecasting cycle
  • Driving and identifying new procedures/processes or modifying existing ones which lead to improved cost effectiveness and/or appropriate quality, compliance, and standardization levels
  • Implement standard reporting and consistent delivery across functions
  • Developing and implementing schedules, objectives, and goals
  • Partnering with Executive Directors and Directors in Finance (FP&A, Accounting, Procurement, Tax, Treasury, etc.) to support the strategic directions of the business
  • Implementing new technology and artificial intelligence to improve efficiency, productivity and/or delivery
  • Managing a centralized Anaplan forecasting process for outside expenses
  • Provide strategic analysis and interpretation of the financial results
  • Training and implementation of finance policies and procedures
