Nordstrom is seeking a Director, Finance, supporting our Sales Team. This individual will support enterprise-wide sales planning and the performance management of sales results across Nordstrom (JWN). This role is a key finance partner to the Stores, Digital, and Marketplace organizations and is responsible for developing financial plans, monitoring performance, and delivering insights that drive decision-making across the company. This leader will oversee the development of sales plans across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores, Digital, and Marketplace channels, manage forecasting and performance reporting, and partner cross-functionally to evaluate strategic initiatives that support long-term growth, customer engagement, and profitability across all selling channels.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the development of annual, quarterly, and long-range sales plans across JWN, including Nordstrom stores, Nordstrom Rack stores, Digital / eCommerce, and Marketplace
Partner with Stores, Digital, Merchandising, Operations and Finance leadership to align financial targets with enterprise strategy
Monitor and analyze store sales performance across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations, including productivity, traffic, conversion, and regional trends
Provide financial insights on store and digital performance vs. budget, forecast, and prior year, identifying risks and opportunities across channels
Drive monthly and quarterly forecasting processes, including executive-level reporting and variance analysis
Prepare materials and insights for Executive Leadership Team, CFO, and Board-level reviews
Build scalable planning, forecasting, and reporting tools to improve visibility into performance across stores and digital channels
Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance team
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles
Experience supporting Stores, Sales, Digital, or Marketplace businesses
Strong background in FP&A, forecasting, and business partnership
Experience in large, complex, multi-channel or omnichannel organizations preferred
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive decisions
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
