Job Responsibility:

  • Provide strategic counsel to a Division President to prioritize, plan, and deliver strategic communications initiatives that inform and engage communities, elevate the organization’s profile and build goodwill
  • Support localized crisis communications and issues/change management to protect and enhance organization’s reputation and maintain engagement
  • Prepare proactive and reactive crisis communication plans in collaboration with other communications leaders
  • Drive strategy to ensure message influence, alignment and relevance among key constituencies, including the media, elected and public officials, community members, donors and other target audiences
  • Write speeches, talking points, presentations, and other external-facing written communications for a Division President
  • Develop and execute division executive communications plans to ensure leader engagement and effectively cascade information in a comprehensive way
  • Coordinate Division President communications with the CEO communications team to ensure message consistency and amplification with the CEO
  • Coordinate with internal communications to ensure consistency of messaging to teammates and clinicians

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, advertising or other business-related field, or bachelor’s degree combined with relevant experience
  • 7+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or other business-related field, including experience working with executives and formulating and executing communications strategies
  • Proven ability to develop communications and public relations strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to leadership
  • Superb oral and written communications, executive presence and relationship development skills
  • Experience with proactive and crisis communications planning
  • Independent and takes initiative with consistent follow through
  • Superior time management skills with capability of working with and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to think critically, understand complex concepts, synthesize information, create clarity to support sound decision-making
