The Marriott International (MI) Global Networks team delivers the most advanced, secure, reliable, and scalable network solutions across the hospitality industry. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Enterprise Networks, the Director of Enterprise Office Networks owns the endtoend product lifecycle for network services supporting HQ, Customer Engagement Centers, and global regional and sales offices. This role requires strong technical depth, strategic leadership, and operational rigor to drive secure network design, improve availability and observability, streamline operations, and enforce governance across a complex global environment. The Director partners closely with architecture, engineering, security, and business stakeholders to deliver resilient, futureready enterprise network services.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and develop a highperforming team of globally located, Network Engineers designing and delivering enterprise office network solutions
Own the technology strategy, roadmap, and delivery for all Enterprise Office Network services
Partner closely with Global Networks architects, engineers, and crossfunctional IT teams
Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and enterprise architecture standards
Drive operational excellence through improved monitoring, observability, availability, and stability
Champion automation, AI, and modern technologies as standard delivery practices
Establish strong technical partnerships with business and IT stakeholders
Design, implement, and operationalize scalable, highly available network standards and policies
Set a clear vision, strategy, and direction for the Enterprise Office Networks team
Attract, develop, and retain top technical talent while fostering engagement and collaboration
Align team capabilities and resources to strategic priorities
Model strong leadership, partnership, in alignment with MI principles and operational disciplines
Develop and manage longterm and annual budgets for Enterprise Office Network infrastructure
Define and evolve enterprise network services aligned to business demand and industry benchmarks
Track service utilization, supplier performance, and KPIs
recommend appropriate improvements and plan their implementation
Identify opportunities for service optimization, modernization, and retirement
Define enterprise network requirements, standards, and solutions aligned to architecture and security principles
Oversee projects across the full technology lifecycle—from design through retirement
Partner with Architecture, Infrastructure, InfoSec, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions
Continuously improve processes and introduce innovative technologies and best practices
Prioritize and manage work across multiple initiatives and stakeholders
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards
Analyze data to drive decisions, resolve issues, and improve outcomes
Communicate progress, risks, and results clearly to leadership and stakeholders
Manage third party operational partners focusing on uptime and continuous improvement
Think creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new plans or programs
Generate and provide accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc
Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management activities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience
8+ years of experience in Information Technology
3+ years of network infrastructure leadership experience as a people manager or senior technical lead
3+ years of experience in working with crossfunctional, matrixed, sourced, and/or outsourced teams and suppliers
6+ years designing and implementing WAN, LAN, and data center networks supporting missioncritical, customerfacing applications and services
Deep technical knowledge of enterprise networking (Cisco and nonCisco), with emphasis on softwaredefined networking (SDN/SDWAN) and secure network design principles (e.g., zero trust, microsegmentation, intrusion detection and prevention)
Strong knowledge of common routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), IPv6, VPN technologies, and global distributed network architectures
Technical knowledge of both intracloud and intercloud networking
Handson experience designing, configuring, and operating largescale, complex enterprise networks
Experience working with telco and ISP networks, including managing diversity, resiliency, and availability
Demonstrated ability to produce clear, highquality technical documentation, including network designs and diagrams
Ability to work nonstandard hours as required to support critical initiatives or operational needs
Experience delivering work using Agile methodologies
Nice to have:
Experience designing and engineering connectivity to cloud networking solutions, with exposure to one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Alicloud, GCP)
Experience with Cisco, HPE, Mist, and Palo Alto firewalls and Prisma Access
Strong understanding of network and security compliance standards
Network operations leadership experience in largescale or global environments
Ability to apply both qualitative and quantitative methods to define success, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement
