As an Director, Enterprise Architecture at Capital One, you will be leading a team of 5 solution architects, working with software and data engineering teams, guiding architecture of associate-facing banking products; owning and facilitating architecture development; establishing destination-backed architecture strategy, reviewing architecture; providing feedback on application designs; providing input on company-wide initiatives; establishing patterns and practices for onboarding emerging technology, embedding in engineering teams to jump start complex projects; and helping raise the talent bar by recruiting and hiring top engineering talent. You will also work with product owners to articulate benefits of proposed solutions; influence the technical roadmap of enterprise platforms; and help business prioritize work. Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 7 years of experience with enterprise architecture, software architecture, and design patterns
  • At least 5 years of people management experience
  • At least 3 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Master’s Degree (Preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience of working with business leaders on the implications of architectural decisions (Preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience with complex architectural patterns (SOA), building APIs, microservices, and event streams (Preferred)
  • 5+ years experience with DevOps or DevSecOps and building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Artifactory, Chef, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation templates, GitHub, and Sonar (Preferred)
