Director, Engineering

• Develop an effective team including supporting leaders in developing their direct reports as to drive a high-performance culture and environment
• Lead an innovative, collaborative work team to produce exceptional results delivering the customer experience
• Oversee designated operations which may include, but is not limited to device testing and certification processes, and related user equipment requirements
• Provide engineering support and direction for new or existing technologies and current operational initiatives
• Evaluate and consult with all levels of leadership regarding technical operations, strategic planning of new features, requirements and new product development and deployment
• Direct quality control programs for engineering operations and consistent operational procedures
• Review selections on bids for leveraging 3rd party labs and external test engineering services partners, and provide recommendations as necessary
• Direct capital budget process and execute approved budget plan
• Ensure current procedures and tests are performed in accordance with Federal Communication Commission Standards
• Ensure adherence to company quality policies
• Lead and participate in succession planning

• Master's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of engineering experience and/or network operations
• 7+ years of management experience
• 2+ years of project management experience
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Advanced knowledge of HFC, Advanced Video, IP Networks, and Telephony
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
• Ability to supervise and motivate others
• Ability to use personal computer and software applications
• Advanced knowledge of all FCC compliance reports and other rules and regulations
• Comprehensive understanding of applicable local and state rules and regulations
• comprehensive understanding of OSHA rules and regulations, both federal and state

• Industry and vendor specific certifications and training (3GPP protocols, 802.11 protocols)
• Agile leadership, SAFe PM/PO
• Advanced knowledge of Spectrum products and service
• Familiarity with device testing and certification processes
• Working knowledge with eSIM architecture, provisioning flows and related eSIM management platforms (eg, SMDP+, SIM OTA)
