Job Responsibility:
Lead the engineering teams supporting Operations, integrating interior completions packages, aerostructures, stress and/or project management for our Global, Challenger and/or new programs
Work in close collaboration with the Engineering teams in Montreal, Toronto and the USA to engage the right technical stakeholders to deliver quality under schedule constraints
Perform supplier root cause investigations, manage supplier performance, and ensure our products have corrective actions to support delivery
Establish and manage team budget/forecasting and reporting, including engineering service provider performance and costs
Manage the adherence with Bombardier Engineering System (BES) and Bombardier Manual (BM)
Work in collaboration with the Program, Methods, Logistics and Quality Leadership Teams to meet business objectives
Be an active advocate of continuous improvement, and adherence to BOE system, and be a catalyst for engaging our employees
Requirements:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering
Have over 20 years of experience within aerospace industry, 10 years of which include leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in the Aerospace industry
Have strong management and leadership skills with a focus on talent development and building high-performing teams
Have a strong technical experience in aerostructures, aircraft systems, interior completions, stress and/or project engineering
Have thorough knowledge of Bombardier processes and inter-dependencies, and extensive knowledge of aircraft certification requirements
Have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate technical problem resolution with suppliers
Ability to work in fast paced, demanding environment with a strong sense for Aircraft Safe Operations
Have a strategic mindset, able to develop creative ideas/solutions by engaging the business stakeholders and challenging the status quo
Can fluently communicate in French and English (verbal & written)
