Job Description:

Based in the Four Seasons Regional Office in Geneva, the Director, Engineering (MEP) plays a key role in the successful delivery of Four Seasons Hotels, Resorts, and Residences across Europe. The role oversees the design and construction of all MEP systems and major CAPEX project activities, ensuring they align with brand standards, support operational needs, and meet sustainability and regional requirements.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead reviews of MEP, Fire Life Safety, and Security systems at key design and construction phases to ensure alignment with Four Seasons standards
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, owners, and consultants to deliver efficient, maintainable, and regionally appropriate MEP systems
  • Monitor project progress and escalate unresolved or non-compliant conditions through the VP of Engineering
  • Participate in site visits to assess construction quality and review shop drawings, equipment specifications, and material samples
  • Support Pre-Opening Directors of Engineering with commissioning programs and Engineering Pre-Opening Guidelines (EPOG)
  • Gather feedback from operations to improve future MEP design and construction processes and track product performance over time
  • Update and maintain Four Seasons MEP Engineering Standards, and support broader initiatives such as Sustainability, ESG, and GRMS
  • Prequalify and recommend MEP consultants and meet with suppliers to review products and services
  • Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives led by the global Engineering team

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or a related field
  • Licensed/Registered Professional status (e.g., P.Eng.)
  • LEED certification beneficial
  • At least 6 years' experience with an international MEP consultancy practice in the capacity of Mechanical and Electrical Disciplines with a focus on luxury hotel, resort, and residential projects
  • Familiarity with European markets and regulatory environments
  • experience working in Europe is required
  • Strong technical expertise in hotel planning, MEP systems design, and related construction processes
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Proficiency in CAD or other drafting software, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Acrobat
