As our Director, ED Nursing Operations, you will be responsible and accountable for the management of nursing practice, nursing education and professional development, administration, and nursing service for your areas of oversight. Every day you will ensure the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services that are evidence-based and consistent with professional standards and values, under the guidelines and vision set forth by the Chief Nursing Officer & the Vice President, Patient Care Services. You will create an environment that supports the practice of nursing, nursing retention, and recruitment, and ensure the professional development and competence of your direct reports, along with nursing and other support staff. You will also be responsible for the operational performance of your areas as it relates to care delivery, quality outcomes, budget performance, physician and patient satisfaction, and departmental turnover. To be successful in this role, you will effectively lead and manage all aspects of ED nursing operations, driving quality outcomes, fostering professional development, and optimizing performance across key metrics, all while maintaining an environment that promotes excellent patient care and staff engagement.
Job Responsibility

Create an environment supporting nursing practice, retention, recruitment, and professional development of direct reports and staff

Identify and participate in nursing and ancillary staff development programs
Participate in establishment and annual assurance of competencies for patient care staff
Establish and maintain high levels of physician satisfaction
Identify leadership development opportunities for Nurse Managers
Collaborate with all departments to achieve high patient satisfaction
Meet compliance standards of regulatory bodies including Joint Commission, life safety, state, federal
Requirements
Bachelors Other Nursing and five (5) years of healthcare operational experience in nursing leadership role, upon hire
Registered Nurse: TN, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
