The Regional Business Head accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.

The Regional Business Head manages business planning initiatives for a regional functional area
Identify and be held accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and significant contribution to future strategy of the enterprise

decision making on function through significant impact in terms of size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses
Partner closely with the Country Business Unit teams, Regional & Global functions (including Compliance, Legal, Operational Risk Management, etc) to support the implementation of business strategy as well as control directives and processes
Manages business-planning initiatives for one or more large functional areas in a large Country
Ensures that Ops & Tech organization is defining and implementing systems that are aligned with business strategy and goals
Responsible for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and significant contribution to future strategy of the area(s)
Decision making on Ops & Tech functions in terms of size of team managed strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses
Collaboration on medium- to long-term planning for broad issues affecting the business
Possesses comprehensive understanding of country standards as they impact new developments
Resolve issues referred by subordinate managers and staff
Manages resources including hire, and maintain a diverse and effective workforce
Internally and externally recognized Ops & Tech subject matter expert that influences the way things are done, not only internally, but beyond the business itself
Performs other duties and functions as assigned

Requirements
6-10 years experience with extensive experience managing functional and regional areas
Deep understanding of how issuing and acquiring components of the businesses operate coupled with a focus on the bottom line
Knowledge of the principal payment networks and their rules, economics and governance
Proven financial acumen, critical thinker with ability to provide an impartial, consultative and solutions oriented approach
Strategically-minded with track record of execution excellence
Hands-on orientation with the demonstrated ability to set up internal processes to communicate and resolve issues
Proven deal/contract negotiation prowess
Prior success working in a large, highly-matrix and complex organization
able to set priorities and 'triage' in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Knowledge of the financial services industry
