As Director Production Storytelling in adidas you oversee and deliver the full scope of Storytelling pillar projects and campaigns (eCOM, DPC/WHS, Retail). Your objective is to conduct the projects within the boundaries of time, cost & quality while focusing on consumers’ expectations and requirements. Planning, executing and tracking projects in collaboration with the Content Demand team, Creative Storytelling teams, Consumer Engagement, BUs and markets, as well as CoE eCOM, CoE DPC/WHS, CoE WHS. Additionally, you will be focusing on resource planning, vendor management and production initiatives and coordination activities. As the lieutenant to the Senior Director Storytelling, this role is an opportunity to help shape the team by and requires a blend of Management/ Leadership combined with hands-on proximity to productions. The perfect candidate will be happy and able to flex from very senior stakeholder conversations and departmental responsibilities, to much more project-focused and operational tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and deliver the full scope of Storytelling pillar projects and campaigns (eCOM, DPC/WHS, Retail)
Lead the successful delivery of Storytelling projects using standard adidas PMI/Agile methodologies
Drive continuous evaluation and optimization of processes and Ways of Working within the department, on productions and with key stakeholders
Align with the Content Demand counterpart on the yearly forecast for the ONE STOP SHOP demand management for digital content (eCOM, DPC/WHS, Retail) - scope, budget, people needed
Drive efficient project resourcing framework in alignment with Design Operations team
Drive the quality/cost analysis for Storytelling pillar projects and campaigns (eCOM, DPC/WHS, Retail)
Lead a creative capture pool of talent (directors / videographers / photographers) and production companies
Support producers to understand Communication team briefs, calendars, budgets, creative approaches and final creative to realize shoot efficiencies ensuring OTIF (on-time-in-full) delivery, on-budget and quality productions
Be the production authority across all shoots and sound production
Drive production best value with innovative and integrated shoots to fulfil the creative vision
Drive production review and approval for: costs (bids / estimate reviews, negotiations and payments)
timelines (pre-production, shoot and post-production)
Business Affairs (clearances and insurances)
Product sample sourcing and provision
Securing athlete and talent attendance (together with Comms and Sports Marketing / Entertainment and Influencer Marketing)
Production Completion Reports, cost reconciliations

Requirements:
University degree with focus on Business Administration, Communication, Creative, or equivalent combination of education and experience
10+ years' experience working in global multinational, matrix organization with a minimum 8+ years of a strong portfolio of content creation experience in digital
Strong experience of working in creative production within agency setup or within large corporate brand
Experience in cross-media (print, digital and TV) shoot with knowledge of producing in worldwide locations / for worldwide markets
Experience with and keen interest in pursuing innovation, particularly in the realm of AI
Working knowledge of production in client, agency and production company
Budget management and cost negotiations – experience managing budgets across a spectrum from small (<100K) to large and varying in scope / scale
Solid understanding of marketing industries, processes and digital communication channels
Legal understanding of MSAs with creative partners (procurement, Ops), model rights, AI legal impact, future tech legal impact
Ability to foresee risks and manage them with priority
Proven ability to multi-task effectively and manage competing priorities
Demonstrated understanding and experience in digital content creation and production processes and reporting, budget planning, collaboration with internal and external creative partners and studios
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex programs and projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards
Strong creative leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate creative teams to achieve high levels of performance
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
Strong executive presence, business acumen with experience reporting to executive teams. Experience interacting with senior executives, experience leading through influence
Works well under remote management and can successfully manage multi-location teams
Able and willing to travel locally, within Europe and internationally at short notice up to 40% annually
Strong MS-Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
