As Director of Demand Generation at Descript, you will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy that fuels our pipeline and revenue growth across our enterprise and self-serve business lines. You’ll own full-funnel demand creation from market awareness and lead acquisition to nurturing and conversion.
Job Responsibility:
Build and lead the overall demand generation and growth marketing strategy, across enterprise and self-serve segments
Develop and improve the systems we use to scale pipeline generation
Own MQLs: direct and execute integrated, multi-channel campaigns
Partner with leadership across Marketing, Sales, and RevOps to drive alignment on funnel KPIs
Mentor and manage a team of growth marketing professionals
Enhance marketing automation, lead scoring, and reporting
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS demand generation or growth marketing
At least 3–5 years in a leadership role managing teams
Proven track record of delivering pipeline and revenue growth
Deep expertise across acquisition, engagement, and nurture channels including paid social, email, content syndication, and partnerships
Advanced knowledge of AI-powered marketing stacks and automation workflows (Cargo, Clay, n8n, Instantly Reply, or equivalent)
Analytical mindset with strong command of marketing metrics, attribution, and forecasting
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills
able to influence cross-functional stakeholders and present to executives
Strategic thinker with a bias for action - able to translate insights into scalable, creative programs that drive measurable outcomes
