The Director, Delivery is both a people manager and client leader. This person has a disciplined approach to managing our most important clients through project and program management whether it is a single large project or multiple projects that make up a program. The successful candidate is detail-oriented but can also think of the ‘big picture’ strategy to drive our client’s business forward, while building long-lasting client relationships.
Job Responsibility:
Define, manage and execute various types of projects for clients
When appropriate, establish and lead a program for a specific client with multiple, concurrent projects
Establish the operating model, communication, plan and tools to be used by the program
Directly manage project management team members, providing ongoing mentorship, career development, and performance guidance
Ability to coach team members on best practices
Lead the development and implementation of standardized processes and tools across the Delivery team
Oversee and deliver weekly internal and client-facing status updates for engagements
Balance strategic and operational thinking with strong attention to detail and execution
Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams
Make resourcing recommendations and monitor team bandwidth and effectiveness
Join client and internal meetings to identify evolving needs and opportunities
Coordinate and organize tasks that support project execution and delivery
Lead discussions with key stakeholders to communicate program progress
Manage complex project timelines, budgets, scope, and risks
Contribute to business development efforts by helping define project scope, delivery processes, and resource estimates
Support change management by modeling tactical approaches and managing resources across shifting project needs
Minimal travel may be required to client sites
Requirements:
10+ years of Project Management experience in technology or media, ideally in an eCommerce and digital design environment
5+ years of program management experience
7+ years Experience managing an internal team and direct reports
Experience with implementations of a variety of platforms
Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree of education relevant to the industry
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem solving, organization, time management, and risk management skills
Experience in management and merging project artifacts into a program scale set of artifacts
The ability to be self-directed and work in a dynamic environment with resources of various skills and experience levels
Competency in tools such as smartsheets, Jira, Confluence and G-Suite
Excellent scheduling and planning skills with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Project financial management of budget, ETC, EAC and profitability
Experience leading digital transformation initiatives
Experience working in an agile framework and hybrid scrumfall environment
Nice to have:
Familiarity with common development systems and frameworks across a variety of technology-based projects
PMP Certification
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree of education relevant to the industry
and 12+ years of experience in project management in the technology space
Having knowledge of the latest trends and tools in the industry
