We are seeking an Employment lawyer with 6+ progressive years of experience to serve as advisor and partner to Human Resources and key business leaders on all contentious and non-contentious employment and employee benefit issues in the UK, EMEA and APAC. This role is an opportunity to join a fast-paced, high volume, in-house environment and demonstrate responsiveness, good business judgment, flexibility, self-confidence, and a sense of humor. The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience of acting as a trusted business partner to enable businesses to measure and manage risk in a changing landscape.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as advisor and partner to Human Resources and key business leaders on all contentious and non-contentious employment and employee benefit issues in the UK, EMEA and APAC
  • Develop, draft, and implement company policies, employee handbooks, agreements, standards, and business procedures
  • Drive efficiencies and achieve process improvements through collaboration with Human Resources and other corporate functions
  • Analyze impact of legislative changes to our employment and employee benefit practices, policies, and procedures
  • Negotiate and review employment agreements, independent contractor arrangements and certain vendor agreements
  • Structure, negotiate, and draft settlement agreements and other related agreements and policies
  • Assist or lead in handling employment litigation and pre-litigation disputes
  • Develop and lead training programs for Human Resources

Requirements:

  • Employment lawyer with 6+ progressive years of experience
  • Experience in a law firm and/or corporate law department
  • Knowledge of and experience with employment laws in the UK and EU
  • Knowledge of and experience with employment laws in APAC is highly valued
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Solid training in private practice and broad-based employment and employee benefit law experience
  • 6 - 8 years relevant employment experience required
  • Experience in house is beneficial, but not essential
  • Technology or entertainment industry experience is beneficial
