We are seeking an Employment lawyer with 6+ progressive years of experience to serve as advisor and partner to Human Resources and key business leaders on all contentious and non-contentious employment and employee benefit issues in the UK, EMEA and APAC. Job Responsibility:
Serve as advisor and partner to Human Resources and key business leaders on all contentious and non-contentious employment and employee benefit issues in the UK, EMEA and APAC
Develop, draft, and implement company policies, employee handbooks, agreements, standards, and business procedures
Drive efficiencies and achieve process improvements through collaboration with Human Resources and other corporate functions
Analyze impact of legislative changes to our employment and employee benefit practices, policies, and procedures
Negotiate and review employment agreements, independent contractor arrangements and certain vendor agreements
Structure, negotiate, and draft settlement agreements and other related agreements and policies
Assist or lead in handling employment litigation and pre-litigation disputes
Develop and lead training programs for Human Resources
Requirements:
Employment lawyer with 6+ progressive years of experience
Experience in a law firm and/or corporate law department
Knowledge of and experience with employment laws in the UK and EU
Knowledge of and experience with employment laws in APAC is highly valued
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Solid training in private practice and broad-based employment and employee benefit law experience
6 - 8 years relevant employment experience required
Experience in house is beneficial, but not essential
Technology or entertainment industry experience is beneficial
