Job Description:

The Corporate Strategy Director will have the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic and high visibility projects that help shape Comcast’s enterprise wide strategy. This key contributor to the Corporate Strategy team will work with functional leaders across all of Comcast’s Business Units, including Comcast Cable, NBCUniversal, and Sky. The scope of this role includes identifying new growth opportunities, evaluating investment opportunities, answering key strategic questions, and supporting or driving high impact special or operational projects. The Director will have the opportunity to interact with and present to executives at the highest level of the company. Day-to-day, they will provide project management over their workstreams or projects and use analytical, communication, and problem solving skills to conduct in-depth analyses and make recommendations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee projects and develop strategic analyses to assess new growth and investment opportunities, and evaluate business risks for the Executive Management Committee and BU leadership
  • Identify businesses, financial and operational implications. Provide business insights based on rigorous, fact-based analyses of customer needs, competitive dynamics, and industry trends
  • Evaluate new or existing projects for financial returns – IRR / ROI / ROIC
  • Work with our Business Units to support new growth areas for further expansion
  • Participate in business development and partnership discussions
  • Drive / oversee creation of executive level presentations to communicate results / recommendations
  • Support the launch of new products and business operations by working with key constituents across products and functions to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Represent the broad view of Comcast when supporting the business on specific projects or initiatives
  • Support select internal initiatives such as strategic retreats, recruiting programs, efficiency programs

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of overall strategy & development or related experience
  • 2-3 years of Management Consulting or Investment Banking experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or related field of study required
  • MBA or post-graduate degree preferred
  • Experience developing business cases, financial models, and delivering senior-executive level presentations
  • Previous experience with the cable, telecommunications, internet, media and/or entertainment industries preferred
  • Excellent organizational, financial, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to drive analytics independently and manage multiple projects / deadlines
  • Excellent diplomacy, relationship building, and communications skills across all levels
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
  • Respects and promotes diversity and inclusion
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

Nice to have:

  • 2-3 years of Management Consulting or Investment Banking experience
  • MBA or post-graduate degree
