Job Description

In this role, you will ideate and execute end-to-end transformative partnerships, as well manage existing partner relationships and prioritize inbound partner requests. You will be at the forefront of 1Password’s inorganic growth strategy and future-proofing efforts. You will identify, evaluate, and execute acquisitions that align with our vision while also spearheading cross-functional initiatives to expand our market presence and product capabilities. You’ll collaborate with senior leadership to drive our M&A process.

Job Responsibility

  • Source and Evaluate Deals: Build a pipeline of potential acquisitions and investments through market intelligence, networking, and industry relationships
  • Deal Execution: Primary point person in the deal process, leading due diligence, valuation, and integration planning
  • Source Strategic Partners: Build strong relationships with established and emerging companies in cybersecurity and AI, that could partner with 1Password to deliver value to customers
  • R&D Collaboration: Be a strong partner to our product and engineering teams to evaluate partnership opportunities and scope the requirements (time, people, investment)
  • Opportunity Sizing: Build forecasts and scenario planning analyses to evaluate the opportunity size and potential return on investment for partnership deals
  • Drive operational excellence within the team, establishing strong processes and organization of information that allows for effective collaboration and communication
  • Iterate on the team’s existing ways of working to bring continuous improvement
  • Help with team planning, executive and board reporting, and organizational updates (i.e. QBRs)

Requirements

  • Experience in M&A and a clear understanding of process and running a critical project with many executive level stakeholders
  • Product minded approach, a thorough understanding of 1Password’s product vision and trends in the identity and security ecosystem
  • Financial acumen, ability to build financial analyses to evaluate key investment and partnership decisions
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including experience engaging with senior executives both internal and external
