Job Responsibility:

  • Own end-to-end execution of U.S. commercial contract and pricing operations performed in India, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all deliverables
  • Lead execution of contractually governed and government-impacted commercial processes under tight execution, payment, and reporting timelines, with downstream financial reporting impact
  • Drive consistent delivery against defined service levels and quality standards in a highly accountable, deadline-driven environment
  • Establish and monitor operational KPIs, performance metrics, and management reporting to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Provide leadership oversight for Revenue Management Systems supporting U.S. commercial contract and pricing execution, ensuring data integrity, process discipline, and reliable system performance
  • Partner with IS and business stakeholders to support system enhancements, defect resolution, upgrades, and process stabilization
  • Ensure revenue management systems are operated with appropriate governance, documentation, and auditability standards
  • Own and maintain SOX-controlled processes associated with contract and pricing execution, including process documentation, evidence standards, certifications, and audit support
  • Work in close alignment with U.S. Contracts & Pricing Execution (CPE), and partner with Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Corporate Audit to ensure ongoing audit readiness and timely remediation of issues
  • Proactively identify and mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risks while maintaining delivery commitments
  • Act as a trusted execution partner to U.S. commercial, finance, and value & access stakeholders
  • Communicate operational performance, risks, and trade-offs clearly to senior audiences
  • Establish clear governance models, operating rhythms, escalation paths, and handoffs between U.S. and India teams
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing CPE organization in India, including hiring and onboarding senior managers and managers as the organization scales
  • Define clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability models aligned to U.S. CPE priorities
  • Foster a culture of execution excellence, attention to detail, ownership, and continuous improvement aligned with Amgen Values

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 18+ years of progressive experience in commercial operations, contracts, pricing, finance, accounting, or related operational roles within a U.S. pharmaceutical or biotech environment
  • 8+ years of people leadership experience, including direct management of managers, teams, or complex operational portfolios

Nice to have:

  • Experience supporting U.S. pharmaceutical commercial operations in a regulated or highly controlled environment
  • Hands-on leadership experience with Revenue Management Systems and ERP-enabled execution processes
  • Strong working knowledge of SOX controls, internal control frameworks, and audit requirements
  • Proven ability to lead teams accountable for end-to-end process ownership under tight deadlines
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts and findings to senior audiences
  • Ability to identify areas for process and systems innovation and implement change that will enhance the overall effectiveness of the team
  • Experience building and scaling India-based or offshore teams supporting U.S. stakeholders
