Job Description:

To support the Risk Function in delivering it’s objective of safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and develop a team of Barclays Financial Assistance (BFA) Risk in India to drive robust 2nd line risk oversight
  • Report and monitor BFA performance and drive discussions to improve / remediate performance
  • Build stakeholder relationship with 1st line BFA team, operations, and portfolio risk teams to drive effective BFA outcomes and toolkit
  • Drive analytics and insights on improving BFA performance through capacity planning
  • Manage adherence and build controls to relevant BFA policies and standards and exception reporting
  • Development of strategic direction for risk, including the implementation of up-to-date methodologies and processes
  • Management of the risk department, including oversight of risk colleagues and their performance, implementation of risk priorities and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness
  • Relationship management of risk stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third-party services
  • Adherence to the Risk policy, standards and frameworks, and maintaining a robust control environment

Requirements:

  • Over 15 years’ experience in Credit Risk domain and understanding of consumer credit risk journey
  • Experience in leading an analytical team to drive risk insights and create risk requirements and thresholds
  • Understanding of BFA toolkit and customer duty principles is a plus
