Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Director, Communications to lead our communications function and drive alignment between internal and external messaging in support of MacGregor’s overall business objectives. As Director, Communications, you will act as the line manager for the MacGregor Communications team with four employees, and collaborate closely with leaders across the company. Your mission will be to ensure that our communication efforts effectively support the company’s vision, reputation, and growth. You will be part of a proactive organization, with a warm culture, that values communication as a strategic enabler of business success. The role can be based in Stockholm with the possibility to visit the main office in Gothenburg/Västra Frölunda occasionally. You report to Executive Vice President, HR & Communications.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as line manager for the Communications team, providing leadership and direction
  • Lead the development and execution of MacGregors communications strategy, covering both internal and external communications
  • Support the management team in their internal and external communications efforts
  • Manage external financial communications, including interim and annual reporting
  • Lead brand management initiatives and collaborate with HR on employer branding
  • Implement and develop media relations activities
  • Own and develop our communications platforms, including the website, social media channels, and intranet
  • Ensure readiness for crisis communications
  • Contribute to building MacGregor’s thought leadership in the industry

Requirements:

  • 8–10 years of experience in strategic communications and/or marketing within an international B2B environment
  • Experience in financial communications
  • At least 2-3 years of leadership experience with direct reports, preferably in a matrix organization
  • Ability to work directly with the CEO
  • Reported to a member of the management team (or been in the management team)
  • Master’s degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent
  • Excellent command of English and Swedish, both spoken and written
