This role is responsible for shaping and driving the mid- and long-term SME&C narrative, while building an integrated communication strategy that connects all channels into a cohesive, high-impact storytelling engine. This leader will translate business strategy into compelling narratives, ensure consistency across executive, field, and partner communications, and position Microsoft as the trusted partner for SME transformation. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, storytelling excellence, and cross-org orchestration. Microsoft's mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and evolve SME&C's mid- and long-term narrative aligned to Microsoft's broader strategic priorities
  • Translate complex business strategy into clear, compelling, and differentiated storytelling for internal and external audiences

  • Support key forums (e.g., leadership meetings, global events, major announcements) with strong narrative coherence
  • Drive alignment across marketing, sales, PR, partner, and field teams to ensure a unified SME&C story
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to scale narratives effectively while allowing for local relevance
  • Serve as a central connector across stakeholders to drive execution of strategic communications initiatives
  • Lead development of high-impact narratives, messaging frameworks, and core content assets
  • Guide storytelling across campaigns, executive platforms, and internal communications to reinforce strategic priorities
  • Ensure all communications connect back to business outcomes and reinforce Microsoft's differentiation
  • Define success metrics and track effectiveness of communication strategies
  • Use insights and feedback to continuously refine narratives, channels, and tactics
