Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced commercial counsel to join our Commercial Legal team! This is a great opportunity to join a growing Commercial Legal team and support Atlassian’s most critical customer transactions. You will report into the Senior Commercial Legal Director, Americas in this position.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive strategic customer deals to execution by partnering with Sales and other Atlassians (including in our Privacy, Trust, Finance and Product teams)
  • Lead special projects to scale the Legal and Sales functions, and bring a legal lens to other critical cross-functional projects
  • Provide pragmatic, business-minded guidance on customer and contract-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience negotiating outbound SaaS contracts is a must
  • Ability to handle data protection, cybersecurity and revenue recognition issues in connection with commercial contracts
  • Passion for understanding our customers, products, culture, and business model
  • Excellent business judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly with a variety of teams
  • Strong presentation skills, especially with internal business leaders
  • Willingness to handle new areas of responsibility
  • Qualified to practice law in your local jurisdiction.
