We are looking for a Director Business Process Management to support both the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Microsoft Research (MSR) Organizations. You will partner directly with the leadership team to manage rhythm of business (ROB) for the team. You will be responsible to guide business direction and help identify key objectives to execute that are in alignment with the goals of the organizations. Additionally you will develop business continuity plans and help drive business operations in accordance with corporate governance.Security represents the most critical priorities for our customers in a world awash in digital threats, regulatory scrutiny, and estate complexity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Architect, develop, and carry out the rhythm of business (ROB), while also driving business strategy initiatives
  • Partner with organizational leadership to lead strategy execution, while overseeing alignment across groups
  • Provide leadership support by ensuring business activities are aligned with their goals
  • Drive team culture by getting a pulse on organizational health and leading cultural initiatives
  • Drive cross-team projects as needed to meet changing business requirements and manage complex business needs
  • Leverages knowledge of organizational strategy and planned deliverables for the upcoming year(s) to design budgets
  • Collaborates with leaders regarding resource management planning
  • Provides direction for adherence to privacy and compliance with the Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Executes business plans to ensure continuation of business operations at all times
  • Ensures checks and balances are in place for the team
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and Microsoft teams to oversee the creation and implementation of execution plans
  • Leads and oversees processes to ensure alignment across groups
  • Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) in alignment with strategy
  • Works with the organization to establish and report against targets
  • Supports the leader in one or more key business management areas
  • Synthesizes information into insights that inform business decisions
  • Leverages people management/influence expertise to assist leader with people management
  • Engages in project management or may act as a project/program manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources or business-related roles
  • OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: Controlled Technology
  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: Customer Contract

Nice to have:

  • Master's Degree in relevant field AND 7+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources or business-related roles
