This Business Operations position is a Director-level role to lead Japan Business Operations. You will act as a strategic business partner to the Japan Senior Vice President and the broader leadership team, helping to shape overall business strategy and steer daily business operations. Acting as a strategic leader, you will focus on optimizing and scaling business processes. Specifically, this role aims to enhance the sales organization's efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity by driving operational excellence. This will be achieved through the implementation of best practices, the utilization of sales systems and tools, and providing critical insights to accelerate revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be an analytical, data-driven, and collaborative leader with a proven track record of success.
Job Responsibility
Act as the strategic advisor and operational right-hand to the Japan Senior Vice President, partnering closely with Sales Leadership, Finance, and cross-functional teams to develop, steer, and execute the overall Japan business strategy
Lead the Japan Business Operations function by transforming high-level executive objectives into practical operational plans, measurable metrics, and specific initiatives that drive regional growth
Represent Japan’s business operations at the executive level, advocating for specific regional needs and ensuring local strategies align seamlessly with overarching corporate compliance and global objectives
Oversee and direct key operational projects and initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact
Enhance and optimize sales processes, including lead-to-close management, pipeline oversight, forecasting, quoting, and order processing, to increase efficiency, enhance sales productivity and shorten the sales cycle
Create and manage sales territories and quotas to align with strategic objectives
Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor sales performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement, forecast revenue, and guide strategic decisions
Compile and present regular reports on sales performance, operational efficiency, and key initiatives to executive leadership
Oversee the sales forecasting process to ensure accuracy and consistency
Serve as the main point of contact among Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Customer Success to ensure aligned, effective execution of Go-to-Market strategies
Enhance operational efficiency throughout the organization by identifying and addressing gaps in interdepartmental processes
Coordinate, facilitate, coach, and drive Account Strategy Reviews
Facilitating deal reviews and inspecting deals and pipelines. Additionally, advising on deals with non-standard term requirements while interfacing with Legal, Finance, and Deal Desk teams
Requirements
10+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Operations, or Strategy, with a demonstrated history of leading country-level operations
Proven track record of successfully shaping Go-to-Market strategies, alongside designing, implementing, and optimizing complex business and sales processes
Strong analytical and quantitative skills to analyze complex data, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and advanced Google Sheets skills
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
