Job Description

As the Director, Business Lead for MSL FAIR, you will be at the forefront of AI innovation, supporting the Meta Superintelligence Lab (MSL) FAIR pillar. You will drive impact across Meta’s most critical teams by leading complex, technical programs and cross-functional initiatives. This role requires a technical background and demonstrated experience in program management, strategy, and planning. You will partner with FAIR Research & XFN teams to deliver measurable results, shape strategy, and lead programs that power FAIR’s mission.

Job Responsibility

  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as a trusted thought partner to FAIR leadership, providing strategic insights, recommendations, and holistic perspectives on key initiatives and decisions
  • Meeting & Engagement Preparation: Prepare leaders for internal and external meetings by developing high-level talking points, attendee backgrounds, decision rationales, and risk assessments. Organize and facilitate leadership agendas, ensuring clear outcomes and follow-ups
  • Operational Discipline: Collaborate with Executive Admins to optimize office management, including staff meetings, offsites, and operational practices. Drive improvements in scheduling, meeting preparation, and team engagement
  • Project & Workstream Management: Scope, manage, and execute priority workstreams on behalf of leadership. Build and implement decision-making frameworks leveraging LLMs and processes to support FAIR’s strategic goals
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Leverage relationships across engineering, finance, and product teams to drive alignment and progress on key initiatives. Facilitate leadership processes and touchpoints across the organization
  • Content & Communication: Develop documents and presentations to frame strategic decisions, highlight organizational initiatives, and communicate changes. Draft internal communications, All-Hands content, Q&As, and public engagement materials as needed

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience with project management, strategy, management consulting, research, operations, or related field
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in aligning and managing stakeholders at executive levels
  • Experience leading multiple complex projects and tasks under tight timelines and shifting priorities
  • Demonstrated experience context switching and connecting the dots across many different topics and stakeholders
  • Experience building presentations in Google Slides and building documents in Google Docs or equivalent tools
  • Demonstrated experience synthesizing information into a clear and cohesive narrative
  • Bachelors Degree in a business or technically related field or equivalent experience in project management, strategy, management consulting, research or operations

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience working directly with leadership and stakeholders at all levels, including executive and C-suite, both inside and outside of an organization
  • Experience handling highly confidential information
