  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining metrics governing the activities within the laboratory and reporting these to the bioanalytical management team on a regular basis

  • As part of the bioanalytical management team, responsible for the delivery of operational activity and gaining repeat business from sponsors to meet or exceed budget targets
  • Maintenance of Laboratory Accreditation and Quality Standards
  • Scientific management of the liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) services section of ICON’s Bioanalytical Group in US including oversight of scientific direction for LC-MS
  • Works closely with other members of the bioanalytical management team in setting strategies for the LC-MS section of the lab, ensuring that we are meeting or exceeding our financial budgets
  • Supports business development in the acquisition of new business from existing and new clients
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge and analysis of the trends within the LC-MS marketplace
  • Liaises with other LC-MS, immunoanalytical, and biomarker groups in ICON to ensure coordinated approach to service offerings across the ICON Group
  • Ensures that our laboratory staff are providing an unrivalled level of customer service to our clients through proactive communication and interaction with our sponsors
  • Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of good communications between the immunoassay services group and all other parts of ICON
  • Ensuring there is reasonable work occupancy and backlog growth throughout the Group by liaising and coordinating efforts through relevant BD Directors
  • Undertake BD activities either alone, with operational staff or with relevant BD Directors to ensure backlog is maintained
  • Responsible for scientific liaison with sponsors on the conduct of their studies and potential opportunities
  • Work as part of the bioanalytical management team to setout strategies for the development of the laboratory and to support the sales and operational teams in achieving their objectives
  • Maintain regular interaction with other members and departments
  • Provide project management and guidance for multiple analytical teams
  • Interface with user communities
  • Provide customer interaction leadership
  • To liaise and co-operate with the sites and the business development aspect of the laboratory
