The Director of AI Governance and Responsible Data Practices is responsible for leading the implementation and evolution of Cencora’s global AI, Privacy, and Responsible Data Governance Frameworks. This role balances the need for a cohesive global framework with local regulatory and business-specific requirements, ensuring compliance with evolving AI-related regulations while driving operational efficiencies.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the implementation of Cencora’s global AI, Privacy, and Responsible Data Governance Frameworks
Design and evolve key components of the AI, Privacy, and Responsible Data Governance Frameworks
Focus on the AI Governance Framework, ensuring its efficient management, continuous evolution, and compliance
Partner with the data governance team to establish processes for data quality and lineage
Foster a culture of Responsible AI Governance
Bring together key stakeholders across technology, HR, legal, and data governance teams
Operationalize and lead AI Centre of Excellence (AI COE) meetings
Partner with legal and other critical stakeholders to build and support new frameworks for data regulations and AI governance
Develop and deliver tactical and operational plans
Advance enterprise-driven value and risk management priorities
Leverage data insights to highlight best practices and identify efficiencies
Provide leadership to managers and professional staff
Coordinate complex activities across multiple work areas
Manage external vendors, contractors, and consultants
Identify and resolve operational challenges
Drive significant improvements to processes, systems, and practices
Requirements:
BA or BS in Business or related field
Bachelor’s degree in Privacy, Data Governance, Political Science, Public Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or Juris Doctor) preferred
Extensive experience in privacy, data governance, or AI governance
Proven extensive experience in progressively responsible and directly related experience in privacy compliance matters, with a focus which includes technology transactions and Information Security/Data Protection
Proven experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical policy environments, particularly working with health data
Hands-on experience using OneTrust or similar privacy management tools
Track record of successfully managing initiatives in a matrix organization and driving cross-functional collaboration
Demonstrated experience working with multi-national and/or global clients and providing guidance, advice, and counseling in multiple jurisdictions
Solid working knowledge of and experience in federal/state/international and industry privacy laws and regulations
Law Degree and/or certification as a privacy professional (IAPP, etc.) are preferred
Deep knowledge of AI governance frameworks, privacy regulations, and data governance best practices
Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for AI and data privacy across multiple jurisdictions
