Director, Advanced Product Management Capability Development

Job Responsibility

  • Define and evolve a global, persona-based Product Management capability model
  • Translate Product and enterprise strategies into a cohesive advanced capability roadmap
  • Partner with Product and P&C leaders to identify capability gaps
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior Product and P&C stakeholders
  • Lead performance and capability diagnostics
  • Recommend learning and non-learning interventions
  • Own prioritization of Product capability investments
  • Make disciplined decisions to consolidate, redirect, or sunset initiatives
  • Influence senior Product leaders to role model advanced capability expectations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and activation
  • Serve as central point of consultation for Product capability alignment
  • Apply product thinking to capability solutions

Requirements

  • Experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, or related fields with demonstrated accountability
  • Direct experience as a Product Manager and/or leading Product Management capability development
  • Strong understanding of modern Product Management practices and ways of working
  • Deep grounding in adult learning principles and performance consulting applied to real business needs
  • Proven ability to consult with senior stakeholders and translate strategy into clear capability priorities
  • Comfortable making trade-offs, including saying no and sunsetting low-value initiatives
  • Experience working effectively in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Experience managing vendors and external delivery partners
