Job Description:

The Director is responsible for leading the Permitting Center within the CGXR organization. This role ensures operational excellence in permitting, traffic control planning, and OSP engineering design for BAU business as well as large-scale deployment projects. The Director will manage multi-state teams, drive compliance with industry standards, and align operational strategies with corporate growth objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own P&L for the Permitting division
  • ensure profitability and cost control
  • Establish and maintain permitting and engineering processes that meet regulatory and client requirements
  • Oversee multi-channel design center operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and turnaround standards
  • Align permitting operations with organizational growth goals and market expansion strategies
  • Drive innovation through automation and process optimization to reduce cycle times and improve compliance
  • Partner with Business Development to identify new service offerings and revenue streams
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of engineers, ROW agents, and permitting specialists
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centric service
  • Serve as the primary liaison with municipalities, DOTs, and telecom carriers
  • Resolve escalations and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for productivity, quality, and turnaround time
  • Utilize corporate approved tools for data analysis and reporting
  • Provide weekly operational reports and ad-hoc analysis to senior leadership

  • Serve as the primary lead for acquiring property and rights-of-way, negotiating and securing any state and local licensing, access agreements, easements, permits, and other land-use documents necessary for conduit, and fiber construction and deployment.
