High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1-year prior experience in drilling and using the locating equipment to find any underground utilities
Must have experience operating heavy equipment near active utilities
Must have a valid driver's license (unrestricted) and acceptable driving record
Pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and MVR
Must be able to operate the equipment safely
Read and understand plans and specifications
Must follow all OSHA, ANSI standards, as well as company rules & regulations
Knowledge of basic computer skills
Experience and knowledge of basic shoring methods

Job Responsibility

Operate drilling and various other construction equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures
Drill and/or locate predetermined path to exit point
Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers to assist in support of drilling operations
Responsible for regular maintenance and care of the assigned heavy equipment, produce any documentation needed for each job, daily communication with managers is a must
Loads and hauls the machine (if appropriately licensed)
Drives, sets up, and breaks down safely and efficiently
Operates heavy equipment near active utilities
Have knowledge of shoring systems and how to use them
Rigging and setting of structures
Placement of conduit in open trenches
