The Direct Spend Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing supply security and cost effectiveness within their direct categories, engaging with suppliers and negotiating prices, terms, conditions, and delivery timelines for technically approved items to secure the best possible offers that meet required specifications while reducing overall costs. The Direct Spend Procurement Manager serves as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders within the country for all requests related to their assigned categories. The role ensures alignment with the business and the delivery of SLAs and KBIs for assigned categories. It supports the Country Direct Procurement Manager in managing related activities and leads the sourcing process for the assigned category. The role also provides indirect support to the Group Strategic Procurement Manager in the strategic sourcing of the category. Ultimately, the position is responsible for optimizing service levels provided to internal customers for the assigned category.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute category sourcing strategies following 7 steps sourcing approach that deliver cost savings, supply continuity, and long‑term value
  • Lead end‑to‑end procurement activities, including supplier selection, RFIs/RFQs, negotiations, contracting, and performance management
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that inform sourcing decisions
  • Manage the full P2P cycle for direct materials, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are consistently met
  • Collaborate with finance on budgeting, forecasting, and spend optimization
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements early and align procurement strategies with business needs
  • Ensure OTIF delivery for critical shipments and coordinate with logistics, clearance, and treasury teams to minimize delays and demurrage
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, tools, and technologies
  • Manage Ariba workflows and approval processes to maintain operational efficiency
  • Source, negotiate, and manage both new and existing suppliers to drive cost, quality, and performance improvements
  • Lead the initiation and review of procurement contracts to ensure clarity of scope, commercial alignment, and full compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements
  • Drive productivity and cost‑optimization initiatives by identifying improvement opportunities, leading cross‑functional projects, and implementing solutions that enhance process efficiency and overall procurement performance.

Requirements:

  • BSc degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, Economics or related fields
  • 6-8 Years of proven experience in Procurement in multinational company, preferably in Commodities.
