Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our Adult Support Services Financial Services Team as a Direct Payment Specialist. This temporary role is to cover maternity leave and offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference. The position is full-time (37 hours per week) for a period of up to 12 months to cover maternity leave. You will be part of our dedicated Direct Payment Team, supporting service users and ensuring smooth financial processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide expert advice on Direct Payments to eligible individuals across Gloucestershire
  • support a range of professionals to promote Direct Payments as a choice
  • help customers setting up the direct payment arrangement
  • liaise with customers, care management and other stakeholders to resolve issues and provide information and advice
  • contribute to the maintaining of accurate records of staff and the people who use our service, in electronic format
