Digital Transformation Programme Manager. London (2–3 days per week onsite). £900 per day (Inside IR35). 6 months Contract Initially. Morson Edge is partnering with a leading UK retail organisation to appoint an experienced Digital Transformation Programme Manager to lead a major £25m programme to design, build and launch their first-ever customer delivery app. This is a flagship strategic initiative involving multiple third-party providers and extensive cross-functional collaboration. This role offers the opportunity to shape a market-defining digital customer experience and drive one of the organisation’s most important digital transformation programmes.
Job Responsibility:
Define and implement a robust programme governance structure with clear decision-making routes and stakeholder input
Lead the programme delivery plan, ensuring milestones are met and dependencies are effectively managed
Establish and maintain a programme control framework covering risks, issues, costs, benefits, quality standards and resource planning
Deliver accurate and timely status reporting, escalating and resolving issues proactively
Manage programme budgets, forecasts, and cost controls, ensuring value for money and avoiding cost/time overruns
Oversee programme resource allocation, including onboarding, performance oversight and offboarding as required
Ensure all supplier and third-party relationships are effectively managed to support programme success
Work closely with internal teams, leadership and external vendors to align on strategy, expectations and KPIs
Engage regularly with C-suite and Director-level stakeholders, presenting programme updates and insights
Lead an Agile delivery model across multiple squads (initially four), ensuring effective sprint planning, collaboration and delivery
Support the transition from discovery into development, ensuring the MVP and subsequent phases are delivered to scope
