The Digital S/W Engineer Group Mgr is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Requirements:
10 + years of relevant professional experience, with a significant portion dedicated to technology leadership within the finance/banking domain
Proven experience building, leading, and delivering complex technology projects from conception through deployment and ongoing support
Demonstrated ability to design, develop, implement, and support enterprise-grade applications
Experience leading geographically distributed technology teams across multiple time zones
Prior experience in stakeholder management, with effective communication and collaboration with executive leadership and key business partners
Expertise in developing robust, enterprise-grade applications using modern technology stacks, including: Frontend development with angular or similar JavaScript frameworks
Backend development with a Java or Python microservices architecture
Designing and implementing RESTful APIs
Demonstrable expertise in using modern development tools and technologies throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) (e.g., GitHub Copilot or equivalent)
Working knowledge of and adherence to industry best practices and established software development standards
Knowledge of Content Management platforms (e.g., AEM, Drupal, TeamSite) and sales enablement tools (e.g., Seismic)
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and strategic objectives clearly and concisely to diverse audiences
Demonstrated strong people management skills, including team development, mentorship, and performance management
Proven project management skills, with the ability to oversee project planning, execution, and successful delivery within the established scope, budget, and timeline
