The Senior Project Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping WPP Production’s evolution toward AI-enabled production. In addition to managing web and content-at-scale programmes, the role is responsible for the coordination and delivery of AI and automation-powered initiatives, including WPP Open Pilots, Production Studio demos, proofs of concept, and innovation workstreams. This requires the ability to translate strategic ambitions into actionable delivery plans, bridging creative, technical, and operational teams to ensure that new technologies are deployed effectively and responsibly.
Job Responsibility:
AI & Innovation Delivery: Lead the end-to-end project management of AI initiatives
Project Leadership: Initiate and execute projects including scope, budget, and schedule definition
Financial Control: Manage projects with at least £250K budget, ensuring rigorous financial tracking and reconciliation
Technical Translation: Act as the crucial bridge between client requirements and technical teams
Agile Enablement: Promote agile and iterative delivery approaches suited to innovation environments
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as an internal source of expertise in the digital project management field
Team Mentorship: Support and mentor more junior members of the team
Stakeholder Management: Represent WPP Production to the client and other third-party partners
Closure & Documentation: Oversee project closure documentation to ensure learnings are captured and processes are finalised
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of Project Management experience
Experience working in digital agencies on large global accounts
Experience working in a decoupled environment and collaborating effectively with other third-party agencies
Strong knowledge of Content Management and CRM systems (Experience with Drupal, AEM, SiteCore, .NET systems, Dynamics would be ideal)
Experience delivering large master and localisation web site projects
Proven experience managing globally distributed project teams
