BaseNYC is looking for a Digital Project Manager to help lead brand-led digital projects across discovery, strategy, UX, and website design. This role is for someone who understands how digital work moves through a creative agency environment, and who can bring structure, clarity, and momentum to the process. The role of the Digital Project Manager is to architect and manage project processes in close collaboration with internal discipline leads while partnering directly with clients. This person will be responsible for leading day-to-day coordination, project planning, timeline management, resourcing, budget tracking, and building alignment across internal and external stakeholders. This role is focused on the strategic and creative phases of digital projects — from digital discovery through digital design. As projects move into build, technical production, QA, launch, or maintenance, the Digital Project Manager will either partner with a Digital Producer or lead the development/build process to ensure continuity across the client relationship, project goals, scope, and timeline.
Job Responsibility:
Architect and manage project processes in close collaboration with internal discipline leads while partnering directly with clients
Lead day-to-day coordination, project planning, timeline management, resourcing, budget tracking, and building alignment across internal and external stakeholders
Focus on strategic and creative phases of digital projects — from digital discovery through digital design
Partner with a Digital Producer or lead the development/build process to ensure continuity across the client relationship, project goals, scope, and timeline
Orchestrate and manage digital project processes with rigor, critical thinking, and clarity from discovery through strategy, UX, and design
Build successful relationships with clients, creative teams, strategists, designers, producers, external collaborators, and internal leadership
Ensure transparency and clarity in communication
Help teams move from strategic definition into clear, well-managed design outcomes
Requirements:
5-6+ years in project management, account management, or client services, preferably within a creative, branding, or design agency
Experience managing digital or digital-adjacent projects, ideally including digital discovery, strategy, UX, website design, content, information architecture, or design systems
background in build/production/development is a very attractive bonus
Working knowledge of digital project phases and deliverables
Experience building alignment across clients, creatives, strategists, designers, producers, and internal leadership
Comfort leading day-to-day client communication and helping manage expectations throughout a project
Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, budgets, resourcing, project planning, and internal workflows
Familiar with tools like Figma, Slack, Google Suite, and project management platforms such as Productive or similar
A natural communicator who can navigate between clients, creatives, and internal leadership with ease
Based in New York City and able to work regularly from the BaseNYC studio (hybrid, ~3 days per week in-person)
