Job Description

The Digital Project Manager Lead Advisor will oversee the lifecycle of data projects, ensuring timely delivery of insights and managing stakeholder engagement. The role requires 15+ years of IT experience, with a focus on data-centric projects. Strong project management skills and familiarity with data engineering and visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau are essential. A degree in a relevant field is required.

Job Responsibility

  • Implement the analytics and insight strategy and roadmap in order to maximise long term business value
  • Ensure that the demand for analytics and insight is prioritised and planned, and is delivered to time, budget and of the highest quality
  • Manage project scope, identifying and mitigating potential risks throughout the delivery process
  • Develop comprehensive data delivery plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and quality metrics
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document their requirements and translate that into actionable outcomes
  • Collaborating with a range of technical and non-technical audiences to quality assure delivery through testing and into release ensuring the end-product meets the documented business requirements
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, both internal and external, keeping them informed about project progress and any potential issues
  • Encourage teamwork, foster a positive work environment, and support team members in achieving their goals
  • Promote and support the use of agile methodologies, ensuring that projects are delivered in a flexible and adaptive manner
  • Ensure that the team has defined Service Definitions, SLAs and performance expectations and delivers against those
  • Be a champion of data and analytics in SGN and provide positive leadership within the Analytics and Insight team
  • Keep up to date with trends and best practice and evaluate new data ops, analytics and data science technologies and methods to improve our capability
  • Work with stakeholders across different functions to understand analysis and insight needs and align data analytics initiatives with business goals
  • Understand SGN’s business and data to ensure that initiatives support business goals and derive value

Requirements

  • 15+ Years of IT experience of which 8+ years as PM / DM in a data centric project
  • Experience in project/program management in multi-vendor / multi-stakeholder environment / distributed team
  • Good communication & articulation skills
  • Degree or a higher-level qualification in a relevant discipline and/or the equivalent experience working in high performing data and IT functions
  • Experience of working in Data Engineering, Data Ops and Release Delivery teams
  • Good knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Delivering projects and managing products across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) – using a range of project methodologies such as Waterfall or Agile
