One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Digital Print Operator to work on a 12 - month assignment in their facilities in Houston, TX.
Job Responsibility:
Produces printed products using various digital print technologies such as Xerox and Ricoh
Effectively operates the digital print and bindery equipment installed within the production environment such as B&W and MICR print production environment
Sets up and operates digital printers and all other production equipment in accordance with SOP instructions
Retrieves and loads correct paper/check stock
Locates, validates and uploads production files
Monitors production for quality and accuracy in accordance with SOP and quality procedures
Reads information from work tickets/spec sheets, acquires needed materials, loads equipment with product and print files
Monitors stock within production area and initiate timely requests for replenishment
Calibrates the digital press(s) at a minimum at the beginning of each shift for MICR equipment
Accountable for daily care and maintenance of equipment as directed or provided by the equipment manufacturer
Assists in other areas of the production environment including Automated Inserting
Must able to troubleshoot and resolve computer and printing issues
Operates with a SAFE working aptitude
Must able to maintain the highest level of publishing confidentiality prior to corporate and departmental announcements
Requirements:
Must be able to stand/walk to monitor input and output of equipment and perform the essential functions of the job for a minimum of 8 hours
Intermediate level, typically 3-5 years of experience
Moving towards full competency
Requires a broader, general understanding of discipline
Identifies problems and develops potential solutions
