The Digital Marketing Intern will support key initiatives across search engine optimization, generative engine optimization also known as AI search, and performance reporting for Launch That projects.
Job Responsibility
Support some execution of SEO and GEO strategies (on-page optimization support, page production tasks, tagging, QC)
Assist in data aggregation and pulling reports from multiple sources for dashboards and recurring monitors
Build a working understanding of the team's marketing tools and where each data source is authoritative
With guidance, complete SEO tasks related to page production: keyword research and competitive analysis, content production support, page tagging, and QC
Monitor AI Search / AI Overview visibility: helping QC which pages are being cited by AI engines (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity) and flagging gaps and opportunities
Help track and report on changes in traffic, rankings, AI-citation share, and emerging trends
Perform content QC, checking pages and drafts for accuracy, SEO optimization, link quality, and adherence to content, SEO, and YMYL guidelines
Follow established processes in competitive and SERP monitoring, reporting movement by competitors in both traditional and AI search results
Assist in measuring the effectiveness of strategies by reporting from a variety of sources (GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, Nozzle, Mixpanel, and internal dashboards)
Share report findings with team members through email, Slack, or team meetings
Utilize AI tools within company parameters, where appropriate, to improve efficiency, support decision-making, and enhance work quality
Collaborate cross-departmentally with other team members (SEO, Paid Search, Content, and Design/Development) to achieve collective goals
Requirements
Coursework or internship experience in digital marketing, SEO, or analytics
Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs, or Semrush
Basic understanding of keyword research and on page SEO
Strong interest in SEO, digital marketing, or data analytics
High attention to detail and ability to work with data and spreadsheets
Experience with Google Sheets or Excel including basic data analysis
Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines
Clear written communication and ability to summarize findings
Curiosity about AI tools and how search behavior is evolving
Nice to have
Experience working with data including pivot tables or reporting
Exposure to AI tools or prompt writing
