The Digital Leader – Global Operations Climate Solutions Europe reports directly to the Executive Director, Global Functions – Digital. This role partners closely with the Business Unit CIO and the Climate Solutions Europe (CSE) Global Operations leadership team to shape, execute, and deliver the digital technology strategy and roadmap for the business unit. The leader is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of digital environments across European factories, driving adoption and value realization of digital tools, and ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement in factory environments.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the daily running of digital environments in European factories, ensuring reliability, security, and performance of digital systems
Collaborate with the Business Unit CIO and CSE Global Ops leadership to co-develop the technology strategy and roadmap for the business unit
Lead the execution of digital programs, from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable value creation
Act as a change agent, driving digital transformation and adoption of new technologies across factory teams, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Build strong relationships with factory leadership, business unit executives, and cross-functional teams to ensure buy-in and successful implementation of digital initiatives
Stay abreast of emerging digital technologies, methodologies, and best practices, and identify opportunities to leverage these for business transformation
Ensure digital operational excellence through targeted service levels, timely issue resolution, and continuous process improvement
Develop and manage annual digital technology budgets, track performance, and optimize resource allocation
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
Minimum 12 years of IT management experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles within multinational companies
Proven track record in implementing digital solutions (ERP, MES/MOM, APS, factory automation, IIOT, AI, digital twins, cloud technologies) in manufacturing environments
Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and relationship management skills
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Experience leading cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation
