Join CSIRO’s Australian e-Health Research Centre (AEHRC) as a Program Manager driving nationally significant digital health innovation. You will lead the operational delivery of the Smart Health Checks program while providing strategic coordination and oversight across the Sparked FHIR Accelerator. Working with multidisciplinary teams, government, and industry partners, you will ensure impactful, scalable solutions that enhance healthcare delivery, efficiency, and outcomes. This role blends hands-on program leadership with high-level governance, contributing to Australia’s digital health transformation and supporting the translation of research into real-world adoption and measurable benefits.
Job Responsibility:
Maintaining program and project delivery governance and management approaches across internal and external stakeholders
Consolidating and documenting core program and project components including planning, scheduling, resourcing, budgets, risks, opportunities, and quality requirements
Engaging with relevant government agencies and key partners to ensure program objectives align with industry needs and government policy
Leading stakeholder management structures and engagement activity to support discovery of growth and impact opportunities
Managing the integration of program outcomes into business-as-usual, addressing user readiness, system compatibility, and benefits realisation
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. project management, business, digital health) and/or equivalent relevant experience, and demonstrated experience in managing and delivering large, complex programs or projects
Experience managing and delivering research or development programs, with accountability for effective planning, governance and achievement of agreed outcomes
Experience operating in lean or agile environments, with the ability and willingness to move between “hands-on” project delivery and strategic-level oversight, working across the full delivery lifecycle
Experience developing and delivering complex multi-functional projects that deliver software systems in a health domain
The ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across multiple organisations
The ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate complex activities, managing competing demands to deliver agreed outcomes within required timeframes
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills including: the ability to build and sustain relationships with colleagues and clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and to prepare and present project artefacts (e.g. schedules, project reports, evaluation data) to support delivery of project objectives
