Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Digital Director/Dev Lead who excels at producing and implementing visually stunning and user-friendly web interfaces. In this role, you will lead projects from technical analysis to completion, creating websites that align with client goals and requirements. Your ability to manage the entire development lifecycle while balancing competing deadlines will be key to your success. This is not a large team environment. You will be one of two team members who bring both skills and decision-making to work independently, set direction, and communicate clearly with clients and internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build, maintain, and evolve client websites and web properties, primarily in WordPress and Laravel (LAMP)
  • Own technical decisions and be able to defend them clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Work directly with account teams and clients to analyze and define the scope of work, set expectations, and manage delivery
  • Contribute to internal tooling, integrations, and infrastructure as needed
  • Stay current with AI-assisted development tools and apply them safely and practically
  • Lead projects from technical analysis to completion, creating websites that align with client goals and requirements
  • Manage the entire development lifecycle while balancing competing deadlines

Requirements:

  • Mid to senior-level experience in web development
  • Strong understanding of programming concepts and SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) practices
  • Strong WordPress background, including custom theme, plugin development, and CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment)
  • Comfort working independently with minimal oversight, ideally with freelance or independent work in your background
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical constraints and decisions in plain language and in spoken conversation
  • Familiarity with GA4, GTM, REST APIs, Git, and Core Web Vitals
  • Experience working directly with clients or non-technical stakeholders, not just internal tickets

Nice to have:

  • Actively uses AI development tools in their workflow (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.)
  • Experience with tag management and tracking setup (GTM, data layer)
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics platforms and reporting tools
  • Exposure to multi-location or franchise-style web infrastructure
  • Background in or understanding of digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, Meta)
  • Experience scoping and estimating projects independently
What we offer:
  • Competitive salary and benefits package
  • Opportunities for professional growth and skill development
  • A dynamic, collaborative, and supportive work environment
  • The chance to work on meaningful projects that make an impact
  • Flexible, hybrid work schedule
