Job Description

The Digital CX/UX Designer is responsible for designing intuitive, customer-focused digital experiences that make it easy for clients to explore, purchase, and manage their insurance products online. In this role, you will use user research, data insights, and design best practices to create seamless interactions across quoting tools, policy management portals, and claims submission platforms. You will work closely with product managers, developers, marketing teams, and brokers to ensure every digital touchpoint is accessible, responsive, and aligned with regulatory requirements and brand standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Evaluate existing applications and their UX (user experience) effectiveness considering human-computer interaction principles of design
  • Design accessible, mobile-friendly interfaces for online quotes, self-serve policy changes, and claims reporting
  • Developing and maintaining design wireframes, mockups, storyboards, journey maps, sitemaps, screen flows and specifications
  • Analyzing user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience
  • Running user testing of applications, software, and websites with employees and customers
  • Conducting competitor and customer analysis to inform designs and create best in class online customer experiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet both user needs and industry compliance standards
  • Build requirements and coordinate with the development team to bring the designs to life
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to understand client needs across personal, commercial, and specialty insurance
  • Continuously optimize digital experiences based on analytics, broker feedback, and customer insights
  • Manage a Figma instance including a design system

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Education with discipline in Web design & Development/Customer Science/Marketing/Business or Related field
  • 3+ years experience
  • UX designers must have a solid understanding of graphic design and web technologies
  • Superb communication, time-management, problem-solving, organizational, and process-management skills
  • Creativity, passion, and attention to detail are also key requirements for success in this role
  • Knowledge of industry tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Zeplin and OmniGraffle
