Cella by Randstad Digital is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Digital Content Specialist to join a collaborative and supportive Corporate Affairs team. In this role, you will be a master storyteller, responsible for overseeing the creation, editing, and publication of compelling content that aligns with strategic corporate objectives and drives engagement across multiple online platforms. This is a 12-month contract position based in Toronto, Ontario on a hybrid schedule (4 days on-site, Friday work from home). As a Digital Content Specialist, you will act as a veteran digital content publisher with expertise in visual, social, and branded storytelling formats. You understand how to tell impactful stories across various channels to engage diverse internal and external audiences. Thriving in a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate closely with a team of communicators to elevate the organization's thought leadership and editorial approach by leveraging data, analytics, and digital publishing best practices.
Job Responsibility
Content Production: Produce and edit high-quality written and multimedia content, including executive bylines, short/long-form videos, and compelling profiles of colleagues and partners
Strategy & Ideation: Ideate, pitch, and project manage content through multiple layers of approval, developing cohesive content strategies alongside fellow communicators
Multi-Platform Publishing: Package and publish content for external audiences across various social channels and digital platforms, ensuring a singular narrative is effectively maintained across mediums
Data-Driven Optimization: Apply SEO and GEO principles to content creation and utilize digital publishing data and analytics to make suggestions for improving editorial approaches
Current Affairs Integration: Identify opportunities to incorporate current affairs into content to ensure it resonates strongly with employees and external stakeholders
Advisory & Collaboration: Advise partners and colleagues on how to develop more compelling content, serving as a champion for content excellence and new digital storytelling channels
Requirements
5-7 years of experience in digital content creation, storytelling, and communications
Exceptional storytelling experience across various media platforms with a portfolio demonstrating short- and long-form copy
Exceptional copyediting and copywriting skills with a critical eye for detail and narrative flow
Strong familiarity with data, analytics, and digital publishing tools, including skills related to user experience (UX) and web accessibility
University/College graduate in any field
Exceptional communication skills with a deep understanding of how to tailor messages to different audiences
A proven team player who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments under tight deadlines
A quick learner who is curious, self-motivated, and capable of distilling complex concepts into digestible content
Nice to have
Experience in journalism, corporate communications, or the banking/financial services industry
Familiarity with video production, audio editing, graphic design, or producing content for podcast channels
Experience applying SEO & GEO to content creation
Data analytics experience using platforms like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
