The Digital Content Marketing Intern will ensure that the content for Annuity.org and RetireGuide is clean, clear, and highly accurate. They will work under the general supervision of our Director of Marketing to execute digital initiatives and support our overall SEO goals. This is a part-time, 4-month internship paying $14.00 per hour in a hybrid environment, combining on-site collaboration with remote flexibility.
Job Responsibility:
Fact-check articles for accuracy
Spot and fix inconsistencies in style, tone and message
Ensure content adheres to style guidelines
Improve sentences for readability and concision
Correct errors in grammar, punctuation and spelling
Ensure content logically and clearly communicates information to the targeted audience
Assist in the execution of some digital marketing strategies
Assist in some data aggregation for digital marketing reports
Basic understanding of marketing tools
Assist in completing SEO tasks related to page production (competitor research, keyword research, content strategy, page tagging, QC, etc.) and social media engagement (responding to comments, creating and scheduling social posts)
Work collaboratively with team members in your department and cross-departmentally to gain diverse viewpoints
Collaborate with content marketing team members to achieve collective goals
Communicate findings and key results with other members of the marketing team
Requirements:
Previous internship or work experience in a professional editing environment
Passion for grammar and accuracy
Exceptional understanding of language with a curiosity for knowledge and a meticulous eye for detail
Mastery of AP style
Passion for digital content marketing and desire to learn something new each day
Proficient in G Suite
Ability to meet deadlines
Ability to write easy-to-understand social posts and reports

Nice to have:
1 year+ of demonstrated experience in organic (SEO) marketing, social media marketing and/or email marketing
Responsible for basic SEO, email marketing or social media tasks
Pursuing additional education in Marketing/Digital Marketing - this could be Bachelor's degree, online certificate courses, etc
Passionate about sharing digital marketing insights with others
Familiarity with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Majestic, etc
Experience with MailChimp, Campaign Monitor or other email marketing software
Experience managing a professional social media account
Experience working in a content management system such as WordPress
